Are you tired of same static wallpapers on your desktop? Here is something new that you can try with your desktop appearance. Using the VLC media player, you can set a video as your desktop wallpaper.
Ever wanted to set cool videos as your computers Desktop Wallpaper, then you came to right place.
Getting Started
- Open VLC and Go to Tools and then select Preferences.Select the Video option from the Left and select DirectX(DirectDraw) Video Output.Select Save and restart the Player by closing it and opening it again.
Tools-> Preferences-> Video-> DirectX(DirectDraw)
- Save the changes ans restart VLC Media Player.
- Play any video (using VLC) you would like to set as your desktop wallpaper.
- Then click on Video and select DirectX Wallpaper from the dropdown list as show in below image.
- Minimize the VLC player and you will see your video running on your desktop as wallpaper.
NOTE: If you want your default wallpaper back then uncheck DirectX Wallpaper from video dropdown list.
